RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Last updated: 8 September 2026

At Asvingtton, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains your rights when purchasing products from Asvingtton.store, including your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit, exclude or replace any rights that you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

For return enquiries, please contact us at:

1. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL AN ONLINE ORDER

If you are a consumer purchasing goods online, you normally have a statutory right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

You may notify us that you wish to cancel your order at any time from the date the contract is formed until 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.

If an order contains multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period generally ends 14 days after the day on which you receive the final item.

You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your statutory right to cancel.

2. HOW TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER

To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us of your decision before the cancellation period expires.

You may contact us at:

contact@Asvingtton.store

Please include, where possible:

  • your full name;

  • order number;

  • email address used to place the order;

  • product or products you wish to return; and

  • a clear statement that you wish to cancel or return the order.

You may use any clear written statement to inform us of your decision.

After receiving your request, we will provide the appropriate return instructions and return address where necessary.

3. RETURNING GOODS AFTER CANCELLATION

After informing us that you wish to cancel, you must normally send the goods back to us within 14 days.

The return deadline is met if you send the goods before the 14-day return period has expired.

Please do not send a return to an address shown on a parcel or shipping label unless we have confirmed that it is the correct returns address.

Contact contact@Asvingtton.store before sending your return so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

4. CONDITION OF RETURNED GOODS

You are entitled to inspect and handle goods only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way that you would normally be permitted to inspect them in a physical shop.

For clothing, this generally means that you may carefully try an item on to check its fit and appearance.

Where reasonably possible, returned products should:

  • be clean;

  • be unworn other than for reasonable fitting;

  • be unwashed;

  • be free from stains, strong odours or other contamination;

  • include their original labels and tags where still available; and

  • include accessories or other components originally supplied with the product.

The absence of original packaging does not automatically remove your statutory rights.

However, where you have handled a product beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it and that handling has reduced its value, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.

5. RETURN SHIPPING COSTS FOR CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS

Where you exercise your statutory cancellation right because you have changed your mind, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, provided you were informed of this responsibility as required by law.

We recommend using a tracked or otherwise traceable postal service.

You remain responsible for ensuring the goods are appropriately packaged when returning them.

This section does not apply where the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

6. ORIGINAL DELIVERY COSTS

When you validly cancel an entire order under your statutory cancellation right, we will refund the basic delivery charge that you paid for the order, where applicable.

If you chose a delivery method that was more expensive than our least expensive standard delivery method, we are not required to refund the additional amount paid for the premium delivery option.

For example, if standard delivery was available but you selected express delivery, any refund of the original delivery charge may be limited to the amount that standard delivery would have cost.

7. REFUNDS

Where you validly exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will reimburse the payments that we are legally required to refund.

We will process the refund without undue delay and, where goods are being returned, no later than 14 days after the earliest of:

  • the day we receive the returned goods; or

  • the day you provide evidence that the goods have been sent back.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence that you have returned them, where permitted by law.

Refunds will normally be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree to another method.

We will not charge a fee simply for processing a statutory refund.

Please note that your bank, card provider or payment provider may require additional processing time before the funds appear in your account.

8. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS

Your rights regarding faulty goods are separate from your right to cancel an online order.

Under UK consumer law, goods supplied by us must, where applicable:

  • be of satisfactory quality;

  • be fit for their intended or agreed purpose;

  • match their description;

  • match any sample or model provided where legally applicable; and

  • meet other applicable statutory requirements.

If an item is faulty, damaged, materially different from its description or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact:

contact@Asvingtton.store

Please provide your order number and a description of the problem. Photographs may help us assess the issue more quickly, but requesting photographs does not remove any statutory rights you may have.

9. 30-DAY SHORT-TERM RIGHT TO REJECT FAULTY GOODS

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers normally have a 30-day short-term right to reject goods that do not conform to the contract.

Where this statutory right applies and is validly exercised, you may be entitled to reject the goods and receive a refund.

This right relates to faulty or non-conforming products and should not be confused with the separate 14-day cancellation right applicable to many online purchases.

10. FAULTS DISCOVERED AFTER 30 DAYS

If a fault is discovered after the statutory short-term right to reject has expired, you may still have legal remedies.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to request a:

  • repair; or

  • replacement.

The remedy must be provided within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to the consumer where required by law.

If repair or replacement is impossible, unsuccessful, unavailable within a reasonable time, or would cause significant inconvenience, you may have a right to:

  • an appropriate price reduction; or

  • exercise the final right to reject the goods and receive a refund, subject to the applicable statutory rules.

Additional statutory rights may continue beyond the periods described above.

11. RETURN COSTS FOR FAULTY GOODS

Where goods are validly rejected because they are faulty or otherwise fail to conform to the contract, Asvingtton will bear reasonable return costs where required by law.

Please contact us before returning faulty goods so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

12. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If you receive:

  • an incorrect item;

  • an incorrect size or colour compared with what you ordered;

  • an item damaged before or during delivery; or

  • an incomplete order,

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

contact@Asvingtton.store

Please include your order number and details of the issue.

Where the product does not conform to the contract, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

13. EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT TO CANCEL

UK consumer law provides certain exceptions to the statutory right to cancel distance contracts.

Depending on the nature of the product, cancellation rights may not apply to certain goods, including, where legally applicable:

  • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised;

  • goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;

  • sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken after delivery;

  • sealed audio, video recordings or computer software where the seal has been broken;

  • goods which, after delivery, become inseparably mixed with other items due to their nature;

  • newspapers, periodicals or magazines, other than certain subscription contracts; and

  • other products or contracts specifically excluded from cancellation rights by applicable law.

These exceptions will only be applied where legally permitted.

For clothing and fashion products, an exclusion for hygiene reasons does not automatically apply merely because an item has been tried on. Any hygiene-related exception will be applied only where the applicable legal requirements are satisfied.

14. PERSONALISED PRODUCTS

Products that are made specifically to a customer's requirements or clearly personalised may be excluded from the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right.

However, this does not remove your legal rights if a personalised product is:

  • faulty;

  • not as described;

  • incorrectly personalised because of our error; or

  • otherwise not compliant with the contract.

15. SALE AND PROMOTIONAL ITEMS

Products purchased during a sale, promotion or discount campaign retain the same statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods as products purchased at full price.

A discounted price does not remove statutory consumer rights.

Any additional voluntary promotional return conditions will never override rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16. EXCHANGES

If you would like a different size, colour or product, please contact us at:

contact@Asvingtton.store

Where an exchange is available, we will provide further instructions.

An exchange offered by Asvingtton is an additional service and does not replace any statutory right you may have to cancellation, refund, repair or replacement.

Availability of replacement products may depend on stock.

17. REFUSED AND UNCOLLECTED DELIVERIES

Refusing delivery or failing to collect a parcel does not necessarily constitute a valid exercise of your statutory right to cancel.

Where you wish to cancel an order, you should clearly inform us of your decision by contacting:

contact@Asvingtton.store

If an order is returned to us because it was unclaimed, refused or could not be delivered, we will deal with the order in accordance with the circumstances and applicable consumer law.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory cancellation or consumer rights.

18. RETURNED ORDERS AND FREE GIFTS

Where a promotion provides a free gift conditional upon purchasing specified products or reaching a particular order value, the free promotional item may also need to be returned if cancelling the qualifying purchase, where legally permissible.

Failure to return a promotional item may affect the amount reimbursed only where this is legally permitted and the promotional terms were made clear to you.

This does not affect statutory remedies relating to faulty or non-conforming goods.

19. LOST RETURN PARCELS

We recommend retaining proof of postage when returning an item.

Where you are responsible for arranging the return, using a tracked postal service can help establish that the goods were sent within the required period.

Where Asvingtton is legally responsible for the return or provides the return service itself, the applicable statutory rules regarding risk and return costs will apply.

20. REFUNDS TO THE ORIGINAL PAYMENT METHOD

Unless otherwise agreed with you or required by law, refunds will be made using the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction.

We do not charge consumers a separate administration fee for receiving a statutory refund.

21. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy limits or excludes rights available to consumers under applicable UK law.

Relevant legislation may include, depending on the transaction:

  • the Consumer Rights Act 2015;

  • the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013;

  • the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024; and

  • other applicable UK consumer protection legislation and regulations.

If any provision in this policy conflicts with a mandatory right provided by applicable consumer law, the mandatory legal right will prevail.

22. FAIR AND TRANSPARENT TREATMENT

Asvingtton aims to provide customers with clear and accurate information about returns, refunds and their legal rights.

We will not intentionally use this policy to mislead customers, conceal material information or improperly restrict statutory rights.

23. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Return & Refund Policy where necessary to reflect changes to our business practices, services or applicable law.

The version published on Asvingtton.store at the relevant time will show the date on which it was last updated.

Changes to this policy will not retrospectively remove statutory rights that you already have in relation to an existing purchase.
